Tarry has a passion for telling New Zealand stories. Writing and directing this film has been a dream realised, and he really hopes it will inspire other filmmakers to just get out there and give it a go!
Tarry now resides in Canada with his family.
Josh trained at South Seas film and television and has since become a creative director, producing engaging and entertaining media that encourages and inspires.
Josh is relentless in making his work the best it can be, he doesn’t settle and pushes the boundaries to make sure that every aspect of his craft is considered and deliberate.
In his spare time Josh loves spending time with his burgers … we mean his family, Josh loves spending time with his family.
Sammi revels in bringing people together to create outstanding media that inspires, encourages and provides opportunities for everyday people. She is honoured and grateful to have worked on Broken as it has allowed her to engage her passion for connecting people from many walks of life to work towards a common goal.
Sammi is a contract producer with experience in advertising and also works part time for her husband in their real estate business. She has a degree in Media Studies and English from Massey University.
Augie Davis brings a wealth of experience to the project with over 20 years in the film industry. He has worked as a stunt coordinator on many big budget feature films including The Lord of The Rings franchise, Pete’s Dragon, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Adventures of Tin Tin.
Augie is such an asset to the team with his ‘Macgyver like’ resourcefulness and fantastic sense of humour.
Priscilla has a double bachelors degree in audio production and contemporary music with six years of industry experience in live sound production, which is her passion.
Recording sound for film was a new challenge Priscilla readily accepted and enjoyed.
When she is not mixing live sound, Priscilla has set herself a challenge to go to as many live gigs as she can. Her count is getting quite impressive.
Jason was undoubtably one of the most helpful people on set, he has an amazing knack for anticipating the needs of others, he quietly goes about getting done what needs to be done. We wouldn’t have lasted the distance without him.
He has extensive experience in shooting and editing television series and was thrilled to be involved in this project as it gave him the opportunity to up skill and learn through the process.
We will just say this now, no-one can out eat Jason… every morning before breakfast on set he would have two pies and an energy drink! Legend.
Juandre, has experience in both IT network configuration and maintenance and television production. He really enjoyed working with the team on Broken as a camera assist to gain more experience. He has an eye for details and likes a challenge.
Juandre can be found travelling, enjoying good food and taking fantastic photos.
Andrea studied makeup and special effects makeup design at the Samala Robinson Academy in Auckland where she went on to become a lecturer for three years after her graduation.
Andrea is a woman of many talents and since discovering her love of teaching, has decided to further her learning to be come a teacher.
Ariana has almost completed her bachelor of communication studies majoring in digital media at AUT in Auckland. She was an incredible help on set filling in any gaps and doing whatever needed to be done.
Ariana is an avid reader who makes amazing tea.
